Although she is one of the holiest and oldest gods on Mount Olympus, Hestia takes no interest in power. This Olympian even asked Zeus for the responsibility to manage all the hearths of the mortal world, so she could change her identity from the Goddess of Fire into the Goddess of the Hearth and get rid of her pursuers: Poseidon, the God of the Sea, and Apollo, the God of the Sun.

After passing her identity as an Olympian to Dionysus, the God of Wine, Hestia started a new life in the mortal world with humans. In normal days, she can be seen on a wooden throne covered with white wool, enjoying the peace of life. But still she possesses control over fire, as this weapon can symbolize her existence and guarantee the prosperity of the mortal world for every generation.
